I have always been passionate about providing high quality and honest customer service. I enjoy surrounding myself with professionals who help me understand and expand my knowledge in the accounting and finance industry. That is why I decided to complete my bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
Currently, I have extensive experience in the accounting industry, including personal and corporate taxes in the state of Florida and Puerto Rico. In recent years, I have refined my skills and expanded my knowledge by giving myself the opportunity to provide my services at a public accounting firm, where I gained valuable experience.

Puerto Rico Act 60 (Tax incentive for Investors)
Puerto Rico's Act 60 (Tax Incentives Code) is a 2019 law designed to attract businesses and investors through tax exemptions. Key benefits include a 4% corporate tax rate on exported services and 0% taxes on capital gains/interest/dividends for bona fide residents. The Act now runs through 2055, with new 4% taxes on certain investments for new applicants starting in 2027.
Key Aspects of Act 60:
- Individual Resident Investors (Formerly Act 22): Individuals who become bona fide residents, typically spending 183+ days a year in Puerto Rico, can pay 0% tax on interest, dividends, and capital gains (on assets acquired after moving).
- Export Services (Formerly Act 20): Businesses exporting services from Puerto Rico to clients outside the island can benefit from a 4% corporate tax rate.
- Requirements: To qualify, individuals must pass "bona fide residence" tests, including the presence test, tax home test, and closer connection test.
- Compliance & Scrutiny: The IRS actively scrutinizes Act 60 compliance, particularly regarding whether income is actually sourced in Puerto Rico.
- Changes & Extensions (2026): Recent legislation extended the program to 2055, but introduced a 4% tax on certain investment income for new applicants starting January 1, 2027.
